Kyle Colonna

Hi, I’m Kyle. I started Colonna Coaching after a coach completely changed my outlook on fitness and life. After spending five years in conventional gyms, it became clear to me just how different it is to truly build capable, high-character individuals versus just chasing numbers.
With my background in athletics and coaching, I’ve built an approach that gives clients — and coaches — the tools and freedom to grow with no ceiling. Our focus is on long-term success: mentally, physically, and spiritually. It’s about more than sets and reps — it’s about equipping people to lead themselves and elevate those around them.
At the heart of it, this work is about creating a catalyst — helping others experience the kind of life-changing shift that my coach gave me. There are no limits to what we can achieve when we build and grow together.
I look forward to connecting and hearing about your goals — and how we can help you get there.
"The success I've had in the last two seasons can heavily be attributed to Colonna Coaching. My stability and ability to set myself up mentally for success continue to allow me to maintain a high level of performance."

Rae Fraser

Hello! I’m Rae, a 42 year old Mom of 3. I have been an active participant in the gym since my late teens, previous to that I was a sports junkie. When my time in sports was up and I could no longer sustain the busy schedule required, I transitioned to strength training. It has been a pleasure to be a part of the gym community for over 20 years. Helping people through fitness is my life’s mission. My expertise lies in strength training, nutrition guidance, and helping clients overcome injuries. I take quite a holistic approach to fitness, helping people create a sustainable routine that fits seamlessly into their life to improve physical health, mental health and quality of life. Through ups and downs of my own, I have found that having strong physical and mental health (and a good dose of humour) has helped me to overcome life’s obstacles more effectively and I love nothing more than giving that gift to others. In this busy life, sometimes we need to reset, refocus and rearrange our priorities, or take the next step towards our goals. I’m here to help. Nothing makes me feel more accomplished or happy than helping people on their journey to become strong, confident and proud. I can’t wait to work with you!

Hey, I’m Syd and I like to lift things!
I grew up playing many sports but spent most of my time running. It was not until about 3 years ago when my best friend forced me to go to the gym with her that I starting lifting weights. I was very uncomfortable and felt like I didn’t belong there but soon came to love the challenges the gym provided. Once I adjusted to the discomfort, I discovered that a gym is one of the few places where WE ALL BELONG. The gym found me at one of my lowest points and helped build me back up and now I take pride in seeing how I can do the same for others just like my best friend did for me.
As a coach, I help people find their place and pace in their fitness whether it’s gaining strength, improving mobility, or building confidence in movement. Overcoming gym/fitness anxiety is something I have dealt with from the beginning so I am passionate about making sure everyone feels welcome and capable while they maintain or learn their bodies.

With 19 years of competitive hockey under my belt, I’ve lived and breathed high-performance athletics for most of my life. After hanging up my skates, I transitioned into the world of bodybuilding, competing in the Wellness category. So far, I’ve stepped on stage for three shows and proudly competed and placed at a national level.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, which gives me both the practical and scientific understanding of human movement, training, and performance. My lifelong passion for sport, health, and fitness has fueled my mission to guide others in pushing their limits—not just in the gym, but in every aspect of life.
As a coach, I’m here to work with individuals who are ready to commit, get uncomfortable, and put in the work to transform themselves physically and mentally. Together, we’ll build more than just strength—we’ll build confidence, resilience, and a lifestyle that empowers you to reach your goals.

Sport has shaped who I am from a young age. I grew up playing basketball, boxing, cross country, and various other sports. In my youth, basketball became my greatest passion. That passion naturally led me into coaching and leadership—learning how to guide others, build culture, and push people toward their potential.

Like many athletes, stepping away from competitive sport left a gap, and had to rebuild from the ground up. Through disciplined training, learning, and consistency, I transformed my body losing over 40 poundsand more importantly, rebuilt my mindset.
I’m currently completing my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, with plans to continue my education beyond that. More importantly, I approach coaching as both a science and a responsibility. I believe real progress happens when sound training principles are paired with strong relationships, Coaching, to me, isn’t just about programs—it’s about building trust, developing self-awareness, and creating a culture where individuals grow together.
At Colonna Coaching, my focus is on helping people pursue more than just strength. Training is a tool for building discipline, confidence, and self-leadership that carries into everyday life. I believe in working hard, embracing discomfort, and committing to long-term growth physically, mentally, and personally.
I may look serious under the bar, but I’m easygoing and deeply invested in the people I coach. My goal is to be a positive influence and a steady presence—helping others build capable bodies, resilient minds, and the confidence to lead themselves forward.
